I have been fortunate in following a lifelong interest in science, wildlife and art. My work is motivated by the incredible beauty and order we find in the natural world and a wish to share this in visual form.
My journey in water-based media has led me to develop innovative approaches to drawing and painting, working with watercolour, gouache, pencil, ink, collage and clay. My background in Biology, Ecology and Mathematics brings together a love of art, science and nature.
As a teacher I combine theory and technical advice with straightforward practical instruction with the aim of inspiring and encouraging the development of individual styles.
I have a special interest in painting birds from my local area and I currently divide my time between Canberra and the South Coast working in my studio and as a tutor for Canberra NatureArtLab.
I hope you enjoy viewing my gallery.
